  • Provides frequency and throughput speed selection through on-board DIP switches

Dorado Products' D300 Multiplex Signaling Modules offer diverse functionality including adding alarm zones, monitoring points or controlling points by multiplexing signals all on existing wiring.

An expansion or remodel project may look promising, but the cost of installing new wiring can destroy the feasibility of the project. In that situation, Dorado’s solution for multiplexing control and monitoring signals can be used to significantly reduce the cost of wiring. For instance, if there is just one unused pair of wires available, Dorado’s Series D300 modules could be installed to carry as many as 24 control or monitoring signals without adding any wiring!

Series D300 models are available with UL approval covering fire, burglary, or process control. Typical applications include: remote monitoring of fire alarm systems, remote intrusion alarms, remote control of HVAC systems, remote gate control, and remote pump control.

Dorado multiplexing modules have been used in thousands of installations and have proven themselves reliable for over fifteen years. And now, the new D300 Series modules are digitally tuned for drift-free performance and even greater reliability.

Accessories
Series D300

  • Product Selection
You'll want to complete your installation with these accessories. Transformers supply 16 VAC for powering modules, while batteries supply backup power to the modules. The panel assembly kits provide convenient backplate mounting for modules and include a transformer.
  • Transformers
Series D300 transmitter and receiver modules are normally powered by a 10VA, 12 to 16 VAC stepdown transformer. One such transformer is sufficient to power up to four transmitters or receivers at each location. Transformers are available in surface mount or plug-in style.
  • Batteries
Series D300 modules come with built-in chargers as standard equipment. An optional 12VDC battery can be connected and used for back-up power. One battery is sufficient to power up to four transmitters or receivers at each location during periods of AC power outage.
  • Panel Assembly Kits
These kits contain a pre-punched backplate for mounting Series D300 modules. Kits come with a transformer and hardware to mount to the back of a standard user-provided NEMA enclosures. Kits can be ordered with space to fit one to four modules and with vents for battery usage.

MODEL D312 TRANSMITTER - SECURITY APPLICATIONS

Six resistor-supervised zones for normally open or normally closed contacts. Select the model D312 for security applications where alarm zone supervision is required.

MODEL D316 TRANSMITTER - FIRE APPLICATIONS

Five supervised zones with a common trouble (open circuit) signal on the sixth point. The sixth point indicates trouble on any of the other five inputs.

MODEL D318 TRANSMITTER - INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS & GENERAL APPLICATIONS

Six alarm or status inputs with all contacts being either normally open or normally closed. Use the model D318 for retransmission of signals from existing dry contact closures, +5 VDC (TTL), or +12 VDC signals.

MODEL D321 RECEIVER - TTL APPLICATIONS

Six outputs with a dc transistor switch to common, plus a signal loss output. Use this receiver for low current DC output to a LED display, or TTL level inputs (not suitable for driving relays).

MODEL D322 RECEIVER - DRY CONTACTS OUTPUTS

Six reed relay dry contact outputs for higher current and with an isolated common, plus a signal loss alarm. Use this model for ac signals, or for activating user-supplied relays .

OPTIONS

The Model D318 transmitters provide an option for TTL level, 12 VDC or standard dry contact closure and 0/12 VDC input.

Both receiver models include flexible options to invert all six outputs, invert the "communication loss" output, "freeze" all outputs at present state, or de-energize (reset/clear) all six outputs. The Model D322 receivers also include a jumper option to isolate the "output common" connections from the module circuit common.
