Dorado Products, Inc. Ticket Dispensers are designed to provide reliable service over the full range of conditions found in parking applications. Key components are designed as plug-in modular assemblies for fast, easy maintenance. All control and operating equipment are housed inside the seamless welded steel cabinet and protected by a gasket, weatherproof lockable steel door. The patented Dorado Ticket Dispenser design has proven its efficiency and durability in thousands of installations involving extreme high volume operation. Dorado Ticket Dispensers are the key elements in revenue collection systems operated by the many airports, hospitals, parking decks and shopping centers. These highly flexible Ticket Dispenser issue 2" x 4" tickets. Dorado Parking recommends 9 point ticket stock for best operation. These Ticket Dispensers can be equipped with a Bar Code Reader allowing them to become an integral part of the Dorado Maxx-Park Revenue Control System.

Systems Integration

Dorado Products, Inc. Ticket Dispensers are used with a vehicle loop detector and Barrier Gate in entrance lane applications. The loop detector senses vehicle presence and actuates the dispenser to imprint and present a ticket. Removal of the ticket generates a signal to the Barrier Gate, causing it to open.

Specifications

The cabinet is constructed on heavy 10 gauge seamless welded steel, with internal angle iron framing. One weatherproof gasket door with flush mounted lock is provided in the front of the base section of the cabinet. The cabinet cap is attached in such a manner that it can be unlocked and slid to the rear for easy ticket loading and maintenance. The cabinet cap and base are properly gasketed and designed for all weather use. The cabinet cap has a lock in the rear of the cabinet and keyed the same as the base. A removable ticket tray is provided in the base and has a capacity great than 5,000 fan-folded tickets.

A "Please Take Ticket" sign is provided on the approach side of the cabinet. An illuminated clock Ace is readily visible to the customer as the ticket is taken. The cabinet base will not measure less than 16" x 16" for stability and overall height will not exceed 46"; cabinet will be finished in durable textured polyester powder-coat, color white.

The Ticket Dispenser mechanism made of rugged, quality material construction and removable as a unit. Electrical connections are plug-in to facilitate servicing. The ticket cutter is self-sharpening. The mechanical drive uses a rubber V-belt. Previous to the ticket issuance, it is imprinted with the hour, minute, month and day of issuance. The time recorder and time mechanism are instantly replaceable as a unit.

The Ticket Dispenser is electronically operated by the TD 1000C Controller. This state-of-the-art Dorado designed and built controller provides for reliable, efficient and versatile operation of the ticket dispenser.

The TD 1000C powered controller uses EPROM software to configure the dispenser for the proper ticket size and controls all of the solenoids on the dispenser, thus eliminating the need for the relay type stamp module (an item with a history of excessive failures).

By way of the TD 1000C relay interface feature and field power supply, this controller can interface with virtually any barrier gate in the field today. There is no need for interface packages and field engineering.

The controller will support a single channel plug-in loop detector to arm the dispenser or automatically issue a ticket. Function verification interface terminals are built-in low ticket, ticket in throat car present and ticket count. The controller is replaceable as a unit with plug-in connections and bears the UL label. A thermostat controlled 250 watt strip heater is standard. A red "test issue" button is located on the front of the controller for use by service or operations personnel. An ON/OFF switch is located inside the controller and the entire unit is fuse protected.
